Walnut Thin Sawn Lumber 1/8″ x 4 1/2″

Walnut wood has a rich chocolate brown color that runs deep and warm. Some boards show purple and gray streaks mixed in with the brown. This is one of the prettiest dark woods you can work with.

This thin sawn lumber comes cut to 1/8 inch thick and 4 1/2 inches wide. The thin cut makes it ready for small builds with no resaw needed. Walnut is a medium weight hardwood that planes and sands smooth. It cuts clean and takes glue and finish well. A little oil or wax makes the dark color pop even more.

These boards work great for box making, inlay, model parts, scroll saw cuts, jewelry pieces, and craft work. Builders also use thin walnut for guitar trim and drawer bottoms. The straight, even grain stays calm and tidy across the face, with the soft swirl and figure that walnut is loved for.
