Deep chocolate brown is the first thing you notice on this black walnut lumber board. The color runs from a warm milk-chocolate tone to dark cocoa, with streaks that shift as the light moves. It is one of the few woods that comes out of the tree this rich and dark.
This board is 1 3/4 inches thick and 3 inches wide. You get one solid piece of real black walnut, cut and ready to work. The size makes it a good fit for a small box, a handle, a knife scale, or a cutting board edge. It also works well for turning blanks if you need a thicker chunk to start with.
