This 3/4 inch thick by 6 inch wide Purpleheart board hits the sweet spot for small builds that need real strength. Purpleheart is one of the hardest and heaviest woods you can buy. It is dense, stiff, and stands up to dents and daily wear. When you first cut it the wood looks brown, then it shifts to a deep purple as light hits it. A clear finish locks in that color and adds a smooth, glassy feel.
