This four pack of hard maple squares gives you plenty of stock for small turning. Each square is 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches. Think pens, bottle stoppers, small handles, chess pieces, and short spindles. The square shape gives your chuck or centers a solid grip so you can get the blank running true fast.

This is hard maple, a dense and creamy wood that turns clean. It cuts to a crisp edge and takes fine detail without tearing out. The color is pale, close to white, with a smooth and even grain. Some pieces show soft figure that pops once you put a finish on.
