Live Edge Walnut Slab

Black walnut cuts clean and smooth, and this live edge slab planes down with very little tear out. The grain stays tight under a sharp blade, so you get a glassy surface with less sanding. It is a hardwood, but it works easier than most, which is why so many builders love it for a first slab project.
