Each wood in this pack cuts a little different, so your tools get a real workout. Walnut planes smooth and dark. Coffee nut is hard with a warm brown tone. Grey elm has wavy, locked grain that holds together well. Quarter sawn sycamore shows fine straight lines and a soft shimmer. You get four boards, one of each, so you can feel how they each act under a blade.

All four pieces are 3/4 inch thick and 6 inches wide. This is a great way to test new woods before you buy a big stack. Try them for small boxes, cutting boards, inlay strips, or thin panels. Compare the weight, color, and grain side by side in one buy.
