Cherry trees grow across the eastern woods of North America, and the wood has been a favorite of furniture makers for a very long time. This thin sawn cherry gives you that same prized wood in a slim, ready-to-use cut. Each board starts out a soft pinkish tan and slowly turns a warm reddish-brown as it ages and meets the light.
These pieces are sawn to 1/8 inch thick and 6 1/2 inches wide. That thin size makes them easy to cut, sand, and glue by hand. They work well for box lids, drawer bottoms, model building, inlay strips, scroll saw art, and small craft projects where you want a fine hardwood look.
- 1/8 inch thick
- 6 1/2 inches wide
- Real American cherry hardwood
- Great for boxes, models, inlay, and craft work
The grain is straight and close, with a smooth feel that sands clean and takes stain or oil with ease. A light coat of finish will pull out the deep color and keep each piece looking rich for years.
