Butternut is the softest wood in the walnut family, so it cuts and carves with very little push. This pack gives you four boards milled to a true 3/4″ thick by 2″ wide. The narrow width and short reach make these pieces easy to handle on the bench from the first cut.

Use these boards for carving, small boxes, drawer parts, frames, and craft work. The 3/4″ thickness leaves room to plane and sand down to a clean face, and the 2″ width is handy for thin trim, inlay stock, and game pieces. Hand tools bite into Butternut with ease, and it takes glue and screws without splitting.
